PHILOSOPHY

Our childcare center philosophy is based on the theory that play is the work of children and they learn best through hands on experience.  The center environment is set up to help children learn to think, reason, question and experiment with hands-on activities. The classroom is where children are free to express themselves, try new things, make mistakes, investigate, and learn self-discipline. Our staff will provide a curriculum that develops the “whole” child.  Our curriculum is child-centered and play-based. The children have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities with a variety of open-ended materials.  The curriculum will consider the child’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional needs.  Our teachers plan and build meaningful curriculum according to the different interests and abilities of their children. Our daily schedule includes: circle time, sensory play, loose part exploration, art, music & movement, block building, dramatic play and outside play.
