CURRICULUM

Here at Pacific Oaks Preschool, we offer a variety of programs including part-time preschool classes in the morning or afternoon as well as parent participation classes.

We recognize that play is the work of children and they learn best through hands-on experience. Our curriculum is child-centered and play-based. Children at our center learn to think, reason, question and experiment as they participate in hands on activities with a variety of open-ended materials. We do not use a formal, structured academic approach to learning. Instead, we provide an environment where children are free to experiment, try new things, make mistakes, investigate and learn self-discipline.

Our experienced staff provides a curriculum that develops the "whole" child. The curriculum considers the child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional needs.

Classes are offered two or three days a week for three hours a day, either in a morning or afternoon session
